What we do with what you tell us.
Short version: we use it to plan your trip and to talk to you about it. We do not sell it, and we do not track you around the internet.

Privacy notice
This notice is not final.
It describes accurately what our website does today, in plain language. It has not yet been reviewed by a lawyer, and the highlighted details below are still to be published. If anything here matters to a decision you are making, please ask us before you send us anything.
Who is responsible for your data
The Next On Yatra business is responsible for the information you give us through this website. Our registered legal name and address are Not yet published: to be published.
A dedicated contact address for data questions is Not yet published: to be published. In the meantime you can reach us through the contact page.
India's data protection law asks businesses of a certain kind to name a grievance officer. Whether that applies to us, and who it would be, is Not yet published: to be confirmed and published.
What we collect
Only what you type into the Plan Your Trip form. There is no account to create and no profile behind the scenes.
- Your name
- So we know who we are talking to. Required.
- Your phone number
- How we get back to you. Required.
- Your email address
- An alternative way to reach you. Optional.
- Where you want to go
- The destination, and the kind of trip, if you tell us.
- When, and for how long
- Your travel dates, if you have them.
- How many people
- Adults and children, so the plan fits the group.
- Your budget range
- So we suggest things that are actually realistic. Optional.
- Anything else you tell us
- Preferences and your message, in your own words. Optional.
- Which page you came from
- Whether you started from a destination or an experience page, so we have the context you already gave us.
We do not ask for your date of birth, your passport, your ID or any payment details, because nothing on this website takes a payment.
Why we collect it
To understand the trip you are asking about, to work out what is realistic, to come back to you about it, and to arrange the trip if you decide to go ahead. That is the whole purpose.
We do not use it to build an advertising profile, and we do not sell or rent it to anyone.
Who else sees it
Our team. The people who plan trips read your enquiry. Notes we write internally while working on it are for us, and are never shown on the website.
Travel partners, when your trip needs them. To actually arrange a trip we work with agencies, stays, drivers and local operators. When we need to book something for you, we share what that partner needs in order to do it — normally your name, your dates and the details of the arrangement. We share it to fulfil your trip, not for their marketing.
Sending an enquiry is not a booking, and nothing is shared with a partner until there is something to arrange for you. The precise contractual arrangement with our partners is described on our partners and responsibility page.
Our hosting provider stores the website and its database on our behalf.
Cookies and what your browser stores
We use no analytics, advertising or tracking cookies. There is no Google Analytics, no advertising pixel and no third-party script on this website — which is why you are not being asked to accept anything.
- noy_session
- A cookie that keeps your form secure while you fill it in. It holds no personal data — only a random identifier. It is HttpOnly, SameSite=Lax, and it expires when you close your browser. Strictly necessary.
- noy-theme
- Remembers whether you chose light or dark mode. Stored in your browser, never sent to us.
- noy-intro-seen
- Remembers that you have already seen the opening animation, so you are not shown it twice. Stored in your browser.
- noy-cta-dismissed
- Remembers that you closed the bar at the bottom of the screen on a phone. Cleared when you close the tab.
The last three are browser storage rather than cookies. They stay on your device and are never transmitted to us.
Our server logs
Like every website, ours records technical information when something goes wrong, so we can fix it. We also count how many enquiries come from a given phone number and internet connection, to stop the form being abused — those counts are stored as scrambled values, not as readable numbers, and are deleted automatically within the hour.
We do not store your IP address alongside your enquiry.
How long we keep it
We keep an enquiry for as long as we are working on your trip, and afterwards as a record of what we did.
A definite retention period is Not yet published: to be decided and published. We would rather leave this blank than publish a number we do not actually apply. If you want your enquiry deleted before then, ask us and we will do it.
What you can ask us to do
Under Indian data protection law you can ask us to:
- Tell you what information about you we hold, and who we have shared it with.
- Correct anything that is wrong or out of date.
- Delete your enquiry, unless we are required to keep it.
- Stop using it — though if you ask this while we are planning your trip, we will not be able to carry on planning it.
- Raise a complaint if you are unhappy with how we have handled it.
Ask us through any of the ways on the contact page, and quote your enquiry reference if you have one.
Children
This website is meant for adults planning travel. You may tell us that children are travelling with you, and we use that only to plan the trip — we do not collect information from children directly.
If this changes
We will update this page and change the date at the top. The version you agreed to is the one that was published when you sent your enquiry.
